Dentsu Sports Asia has secured Ajinomoto Co. Inc as a Platinum Partner for the upcoming 29th SEA Games and 9th Para ASEAN Games –collectively known as “Kuala Lumpur 2017” it was announced today.
The deal with the Japanese corporation marks Kuala Lumpur 2017’s first sponsor beyond ASEAN as Japan and Malaysia commemorate 60 years of bilateral diplomacy this year.
Facilitated by Dentsu Sports Asia, which is the co-exclusive sponsorship agency for Kuala Lumpur 2017, the sponsorship agreement was sealed in the presence of YB Khairy , Minister of Youth and Sports at Putrajaya earlier today.
The sponsorship amount was not given, but according to the release “Ajinomoto’s commitment is the biggest sponsorship in cash by far.”
At the press conference, YB Khairy also mentioned that to date, they have achieved 77% of the total sponsorship value target of RM80 million.
